The OSOND Story
Antonia Osond has always liked large Shoppers made from beautiful, soft leather. What was always frustrating for her was that the aesthetics were achieved at the cost of practicality. Endless searching for different items led her to empty out the whole bag in moments of growing impatience.
A few years ago there was another of these moments. This led her to think about whether it was possible to create a Shopper which through inner pockets was not only beautiful but also practical. For several years Antonia Osond has been living in Portugal and knew about the quality of Portuguese leather. As she has a passion for creating fashion and playing with colours, she began to think about a design.
The challenge was to avoid having lining or any stitches visible on the outside. However, the inner pockets had to be attached somehow or other. After some attempts she succeeded in creating a suitable design which led to the making of the prototype. The other elements followed one by one: the glasses case; the separate little bag, and the key holder with both strap and safety clasp.
